    Description

You're bidding on a cool, circa 1940s-1950s set of juice glasses - 5" tall, fluted, 2 1/2" diameter at the rims and 6 oz. to-the-rim capacity - branded with Heinz Tomato Juice advertising. Specifically, they feature "Mr. Aristocrat" - a tomato character with a top hat, bow tie and monocle - introduced in the 1930s to illustrate finest quality of Heinz's tomato juice compared to lesser brands, the character was used well into the 1960s. Glasses feature his smiling tomato face on the front, and a list of eight other juice varieties on the back within the Heinz cartouche. They look like they were probably made to be used in restaurants and soda fountains.
Glasses appear new-old-stock - still in their original packing case, in mint condition. No manufacturers marks on the glassware, but the box indicates manufactured by Anchor Hocking. Please review photos carefully to make your own determination of overall condition and appeal, and don't hesitate to ask any questions prior to bidding - thanks for looking!
