Original Straw Hat from "Jelly's Last Jam" 1991 Mark Taper Forum Signed

Description

This is the Straw Hat worn by Stanley Wayne Mathis who played Jack the Bear in the Los Angeles Musical Production of "Jelly's Last Jam" about the life of jazz giant Jelly Roll Morton. The production was done in 1991 before it moved to Broadway in 1992. It is signed by Mathis. I bought this in 2002 I think, at a sale for Broadway memorabilia. It is in excellent condition.  I can't make out the size tag but I think it's about a size 6 as it almost fit's me (6 1/2).
