HALO Wi-Fi Smart Lock is a keyless entry electronic deadbolt featuring SmartKey that allows you to control the lock from anywhere there's an internet connection--no smart hub or bridge required! Using the Kwikset App, you can lock/unlock the deadbolt, program up to 250 user access codes, and receive notifications of your lock's use. This single cylinder deadbolt can be locked or unlocked by using the keypad or key from the outside as well as the turn button from the inside. Exact replacement for a previously installed Kwikset deadbolt. Download the ap first, it will make it a bit easier. Not even a 20 minute swap out and I was using my phone to lock and unlock the door. Rekey too was flawless...I will swap out the supplied Alkaline batteries for lithium ones in the near future.

Easy installation. Download the app first. Then install. Then connect app to wifi. I replaced a very old push button lock. This is much smaller. Some reviewers mentioned problems with the app. It works perfextly for me. I just followed the instructions. excellent quality lock. The outside keypad is black glass, but it lights up when you touch it with your fingertips. It is very easy to program codes on the app.

These locks are amazing! We install them on our Airbnb’s for remote access and the ability to add a code for a new guest on the fly without going to the property! We love them. Occasionally, the app loses some of the lock’s log/history, but I’m sure they will keep updating the app to make it better!

Lock works great, but the app that supports it is terrible. Initially, the app worked fantastic, but has an issue with the bluetooth pairing. Normally, this wouldn't be an issue except that all lock firmware updates HAVE to be through bluetooth. No bluetooth paired, no updates. Also, the lock history no longer shows any lock/unlock events. Wish I would have bought a different brand. Furthermore, the process to set up your account in the app is ridiculously long. It requires an email address, phone number, password, two separate confirmation codes, three security questions, and a final verification step before you can actually interact with the lock.

Lock went in smoothly except it seemed like the interior lock bolt was not aligned properly. The instructions should have said that once you put the batteries in that it would automatically align itself and not to worry. Beyond that point, it works fine.

Lock was installed by professional who needed to make some changes to the door fittings for proper installation. Connectivity with wifi and bluetooth was easy to setup with the downloaded app. The motorized locking is clean and works well. The lock can be rekeyed by the user to match a current key. Remote access is a bit slow, but very useful. Multiple access codes can be set up and can be time restricted. A log of entries by time and individuals is available through the app. I am comfortable with this lock and would recommend it. $$
