    2 (TWO) KNOCK DOWN CARNIVAL CLOWN DOLLS
    This is an amazing old carnival knock down, ball toss punk game saved from the closing of the Redondo Fun Factory in Redondo Beach, California. This ocean front amusement center closed in December of 2019 after five decades of operation. Punks are a vintage carnival amusement ball toss or cat rack knock down game. These are usually called punks, cats or clowns, the clown being the most valued. The furry dolls face is painted on heavy canvas with fur edges making them appear larger than they are, making the doll more difficult to knock over. These are just wonderful folk art punks with the original tipping hinge. The balls that were found with this knock down game were light so the dolls are in very good condition. This carnival piece is from the early 1970’s. There were 60 clowns in the original game, of which 43 are not sold. The size is approximately 11” high, 5 ” wide and 2½” deep (about 279mm x 127mm x 64mm) The weight is approximately 10oz (about 274g)
